What PR with Purpose Really Means

I started Ellie Glason PR with a clear vision: to offer strategic, thoughtful communications for people and brands trying to do something good in the world.

I've always believed the PR is about more than just exposure. At its best it builds trust, creates dialogue and supports meaningful change. PR with Purpose is the phrase I use to describe my approach. It’s rooted in integrity, personal connection and impact. And while it’s a simple concept, it’s one I think is worth explaining.

It’s about clarity of message

Purpose-led campaigns often tackle complex or sensitive issues - whether that’s climate action, public health, ethical business or social change. My role is to help clients define their message clearly, communicate it honestly and connect with the right audience at the right time.

It’s about building trust

Working with charities, B Corps, sustainability startups and founder-led businesses, I’ve seen how vital trust is - especially when talking about impact. That’s why I work closely with clients to ensure campaigns are credible, grounded and transparent.

It’s about relationships, not just reach

The foundation of any good PR campaign is connection. I take time to build relationships with journalists, understand what they are looking for and tailor stories that genuinely hit the mark. I also make space for personal connection with my clients - it helps me get under the skin of their brand and values, and shape a strategy that fits.

It’s about values in practice

Doing PR with purpose means thinking about the bigger picture. It’s about using creativity for good, avoiding empty spin and delivering work that not only lands coverage but supports the long-term vision of a business or organisation.

And it’s about care

Care in the details. Care in how I represent your story. Care in how I work with people. Whether it’s sustainable PR for a climate brand, charity PR for a grassroots cause, or helping a founder-led business find its voice - my job is to bring clarity, confidence and care to every stage of the process.

If you’re looking for a PR consultancy that values meaningful communication over noise, and takes the time to get it right, I’d love to hear from you.
