As PR lead for the Eden Project, via Wild Card, I spent four years overseeing media relations for the iconic gardens at this renowned visitor destination.
Our focus was on developing and nurturing relationships with key gardening editors and journalists, both in consumer and trade media.
We collaborated closely with Eden's expert gardeners to stay informed about ongoing developments, ensuring a constant flow of fresh stories. By positioning Eden’s gardeners as authoritative voices in the gardening world, we secured opportunities for commentary in leading publications. Additionally, we organised press trips and oversaw broadcast interviews with Eden’s experts, further boosting their media presence.
This strategic press office approach resulted in over 50 pieces of coverage annually, with Eden featured in prestigious titles such as The Telegraph, The Sunday Telegraph, The Express, Gardeners' World Magazine, The Garden, and The English Garden.
This extensive media presence not only enhanced Eden’s reputation with serious gardening enthusiasts but also cemented its position as one of the world’s great gardens.
Through sustained PR efforts, Eden successfully strengthened its brand visibility and appeal within the gardening community. During the years I worked with the destination, its visitors crossed the 1m per year mark, a significant achievement.
